On February 17, the graduation ceremony of 2020 was held. Due to Covid-19, it was carried out by the combination of online and offline. The minimum number of people participated in the offline ceremony in accordance with the quarantine rules.
A total of 2,126 people, including 24 PhD, 143 M.A. and 1,959 B.A. students, received their degree at the graduation ceremony.
About 50 people including the school board members, students nominated for the chairman’s award, the president’s award, and alumni’s award as well as representatives of each college and graduate school attended the offline ceremony at JJ Art Hall. The students who could not be on the main spot had their own ceremony at the college level.
Students could rent a college uniform for a week and each college operated a photo zone to celebrate the graduation day.
In order to comply with the government’s quarantine rules, the school headquarter conducted cleaning before and after the event, installed thermal imaging cameras at the entrance of the building, and checked the fever and health condition of the attendees.
“It was bummer that we had to cancel the graduation ceremony last year, but this year, we are holding it online and offline combined in order to share the joy of graduation and bless and support the future of our graduates,” said PARK Kyun-chul, a head of the university administration.
