At the 9th meeting of the Central Steering Committee of Jeonju University, held on Monday, March 23rd, a plan to add Jeonju city bus stops on campus was discussed.

The outer circulation bus line will be reorganized on September 1st.

Implementation of this plan will bring a convenient traffic service to students.

There will be three bus lines for the plan, and 20 buses will be operated for each line.

The time interval is every 8 minutes during the commute period and every 12 minutes during normal hours.

This is a new bus route: From the New Main Gate – 1 Engineering Building – Mango 6 Cafe next to Freedom Hall – Truth Hall – The Rotary of Student Center – to the Final Stop that is located in the vacant space above the parking lot of the Korean Tour Bus.

The 48th student council BeːONE conducted a survey from March 20th to 22nd to reflect opinions from students.

1,122 of students replied.

91.1% agreed to the internal entry of the city bus on campus. In addition, the result for the question of ‘willinness of using a bus stop on campus’ was as followed:‘use(66.2%)’, ‘don’t use(7.5%)’, ’no reply(26.3%)’. Most of the reasons for ‘don’t use’ was related to safety issues.

In addition BeːONE, is currently reviewing various measures such as road improvement and new construction, crosswalks LED low beam installation, PR activities of traffic safety compliance, reinforcement of DU safety guard(traffic volunteer) during school hours.

They announced that they would continue to take measures to ensure students’ safety on campus through discussions and coordination with the Central Steering Committee.
