COVID-19 application for attendance recognition

JJU admits excused absence when a student is suspected of or confirmed with a legal infectious disease (including COVID-19) and needs to be quarantined. If a student is inevitably unable to participate in class due to COVID-19 confirmation, self-quarantine, or waiting for the results of the diagnostic test, he/she is eligible to apply for attendance. Applicants for acknowledgment of attendance must apply within 7 days from the day following the end of absence. Documents to be submitted are inpatient treatment notices or certificates issued by public institutions for symptomatic and self-quarantine, including public health center notification.

Vaccination against COVID-19 is also eligible to apply for attendance. If there are abnormal symptoms on the day of inoculation and the day after inoculation, an additional 1 day or 2 days after inoculation, if symptoms persist, it is possible to process the excused absence until the treatment period. This cases can also be requested within 7 days from the day following the end of absence. Vaccination confirmation is required when applying for a public notice on the day of inoculation. Proof is unnecessary if you will be absent due to abnormal symptoms the day after the vaccination. If symptoms persist for more than one day after vaccination, a medical certificate must be submitted. If two doses are administered depending on the type of vaccine, the same standard is applied for each dose.

It should be noted that the period of admittance of attendance is only possible for 1/3 of the class days, including all reasons. Except for the cases mentioned above, it is not possible to apply for an excused absence related to COVID-19. Including the person who tested negative after close contact

Also, distance courses, night class, Online(video) lectures have nothing to do with the guide. Applicants for attendance must notify the professor in charge of the subject immediately after submitting the application. Matters related to grades should follow the evaluation criteria of the professor in charge.

You can apply after logging in to JJU inSTAR, Academic Management → Application for Acknowledgment of Attendance → Acknowledgment of Attendance(General). More details refer to the notice on the JJU website (https://www.jj.ac.kr/jj/).
