Full Support for Interest on Student Loans to Undergraduates and Graduates in Jeonju-si

Jeonju-si provides full interest on student loans to both undergraduate and graduate students. This is conducted to create an environment for academic commitment and reduce the burden of educational expenses for college students in Jeonju.

 

This is for undergraduate and graduate students who have a resident registration address in Jeonju as of the date of application as well as students who are currently employed and have received repayment or general repayment of student loans from the Korea Scholarship Foundation since 2016. Jeonju-si is planning to support the full amount of interest generated in the first half of this year. However, interest on living expense loans is excluded.

 

Applicants can apply through the Jeonju-si website (www.jeonju.go.kr) by the 31st of this month. However, students who have consented to the provision and use of personal information are eligible to apply.

 

Jeonju-si plans to confirm and support applicants in December of this year after reviewing the suitability of application documents, enrollment status, and loan information. The final result can be found on the website of the Korea Scholarship Foundation (kosaf.go.kr).

 

This project is meaningful in that students can have an opportunity to receive higher education regardless of their economic conditions.
