Recruitment of Mural Painting Planning Team to Support Military Sexual Slavery by Japan
The Association of History and Culture for One Korea is recruiting freshmen to form a mural painting planning team supporting Military Sexual Slavery by Japan until March 26th. The mural painting planning director, Moon-Hansol, explained the main purpose of having this team is to regenerate the urban area and establish university students’historical consciousness of Japanese sexual slavery.
The activity period starts from March 29th and lasts until May 9th. During the period, all members of the planning team meet twice a week to study and discuss various issues of the Japanese military sexual slavery system. In addition, the team learns about the meaning of murals and how to express images. Based on this training, the mural will be designed and drawn.
The first gathering, planning team orientation, will be held on March 29th, which includes a friendship promoting program, short lecture about Japanese military sexual slavery, and sharing a whole plan of the planning team.
Furthermore, if you participate in the group session during the activity period, two hours per participation time and time spent on mural painting will be recognized as volunteer work hours.
Moon-Hansol, the planning director told that due to COVID-19, we have decided to let only freshmen have a chance to become a member of our team. He also pointed out that he wanted to give a chance to freshmen who have dreamed of enjoying the energetic campus life and wanted them to feel a sense of accomplishment.
It is held by The Association of History and Culture for One Korea(Jenobuk branch office), which is a NGO, that tries to solve historic and cultural exchanging business. Not only they support materials and instructors for education, but also they support school projects that lack of finance.
