The JJU Museum announced that it has been selected for the university museum support project hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and conducted by the Korean Museum Association.
This government grant project is for the field of curation, education, and preliminary research. The main purpose of this project is to nurture professionals by improving the quality of university museums and strengthening their capabilities in the fields.
After being selected, the JJU Museum will be able to professionally nurture museum curators and provide high-quality cultural services to the local community through the development of special exhibitions and various experiential education programs.
Park Hyun-soo, the director of the JJU Museum, said, “We will fulfill our role as a representative museum of the region by conducting various exhibitions and educational programs for the youth who are the leaders of future generations during this difficult time due to COVID-19.”
Meanwhile, the JJU Museum has been providing high-quality cultural services to the local community by being selected for various government grant projects since 2013. In particular, it greatly contributes to awakening the importance of Korea’s cultural heritage to K-12 students, multicultural families, and the underprivileged.
