On the 7th, a meeting hosted by the 49th ABLE Student Council was held at Superstar Hall on campus. The meeting was held under the theme of the entertainment program ‘Ask Anything’ and consisted of a Q&A and a report on Student Council activities and accounts held in the first half of the year. Before the meeting, honest and diverse questions were prepared by receiving questions from classmates through SNS and Naver forms.
Part 1 was the JJ Petition, which was followed by a report on the use of student association fees. The Student Council president introduced keywords about the event on a monthly basis and explained how the event was prepared and how much it cost. He also introduced the questions of students posted on social media sites such as the school community’s “Everytime” and Instagram. In particular, he accepted and apologized for the opinions of students regarding the previous festival, and announced that he would make an event that would satisfy everyone during the following Daedong Festival.
Part 2 was conducted with a Q&A from JEBS. In response to a question about what events or activities will be provided to students over the second semester, the Student Council answered.
“During the final exam period, there will be a taxi service for those who stay late at the library. During the summer vacation, we are planning to have rural volunteer activities and national tour events. There has not been a specific schedule for the activities for the second semester yet, but we are planning a number of events that students will like the most.”
Asked about the student council’s pledge to repair school facilities, more than 100 complaints were received, including tight doors closing, insufficient water quality management, and no paper cups in the water purifiers, etc. The student council promised that they would deliver the received information to the administrative office and start fixing about 10 cases during this summer vacation.
Finally, they had time to answer questions with the students who attended the meeting on the spot. The students asked many questions, such as the goals that the Student Council want to achieve, what they value the most, and what they want from the students. The Student Council president and the vice president of the Student Council answers very carefully and thoughtfully without any script prepared in advance.
